Famous Last Words
ABOUT THIS MESSAGE
As we come to the end of the book of Joshua, we hear some of his famous last words. Over the past seven weeks and 23 chapters, we have witnessed the Israelites follow God courageously in obedience. We have seen walls crumble, waters part, a harlot saved, a nation deceived, and battles won. Through it all, God has been faithfully leading them forward to take possession of the land He had given to them. All of this has happened under the guidance of a strong and courageous leader named Joshua. He has led these people through so much and as we come to the end of his life, we see that what was more important than Joshua conquering and taking the land was what God wanted to do in Joshua’s heart and in the hearts of His people.
